Responsibilities
Manage a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative culture and upholding high technical standards
Grow the team through hiring and nurturing engineering talent
Leverage your technical expertise in software engineering to guide the team in building robust and scalable solutions
Review & provide feedback for technical design docs and code changes
Work with AI/ML engineers to develop Transcend's data classifiers
Collaborate with the product team to create and execute the product roadmap
Take on development tasks and debug production issues when necessary – this often involves diving into the details of scanning data systems at scale and learning the particulars of technologies such as Snowflake, S3, Hive, MongoDB, Google Drive, O365, and more

Required
5+ years of experience in software engineering
Proficiency in Python and Javascript
Experience building data-focused products or shipping ML-based features
2+ years of experience in managing engineering teams
Record of shipping high-quality products in a fast-paced environment
Excellent technical communicator to a diverse group of audiences
Collaborative mindset and proven experience in working in cross-functional teams in a remote environment
Passionate about privacy and eager to contribute to a mission-driven organization
