Responsibilities

Manage and lead the Lightning Infrastructure team responsible for developing and scaling systems to connect to the Lightning Network.

Mentor and guide a team of engineers, fostering growth, development, and collaboration.

Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery to ensure timely completion within budget.

Set and uphold high standards for engineering practices and code quality.

Promote cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other teams to ensure successful feature and product delivery.

Encourage innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering teams.

Conduct regular performance evaluations, offer feedback, and support team members' career development.

Participate in the hiring process, including interviewing and selecting top engineering talent.

Maintain clear communication within the engineering teams and with stakeholders.

Be willing to engage with code when necessary despite the managerial role.

Required

6+ years experience in software engineering, including hands-on coding experience

3+ years experience in people management role, preferably in an early stage software development environment

Experience hiring, developing and growing diverse teams

Experience facilitating team development through effective coaching, mentorship, as well as fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance

Proficient in one or more programming languages (Rust, Python, Java, C/C++, etc.)

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire engineering teams to deliver high-quality results

Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in software development and recruitment

Ability to work onsite in our offices in Culver City or willing to relocate

Preferred

Experience with Lightning Network technology is a plus
