Responsibilities
Design or check steel components to ensure compliance with specifications and codes.
Review product designs for adherence to engineering principles, company standards, and customer requirements.
Provide technical assistance to customers, estimation and sales personnel.
Prepare work schedules to meet customer and shop work schedules.
Coordinate engineering activities with other departments like purchasing, project management, drafting, and production.
Resolve quality issues and provide as-built analysis for load changes.
Implement and enforce company rules and regulations.
Provide corrective actions to improve department efficiency and quality.
Manage direct reports through coaching, training, and development.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering with preference for structural emphasis.
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
Professional licensure and ability to obtain licenses in additional states.
Ability to speak effectively with both internal and external customers.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical procedures
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
PC skills to include AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Software Suite & BlueBeam.
