Responsibilities

Designs, manages and administers email security measures such as Email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)

Spam, Virus and content filtering

URL rewriting and Attachment scanning

Designs, manages and administers all email analysis utilities, tools and processes

Designs, manages and administers all messaging systems (email, archival, spam, security, instant messaging)

Designs, manages and administers Internet mail gateways

Designs, manages and administers remote mail access systems

Creates implementation plans

Troubleshoots system issues and performs problem analysis to resolution

Documents procedures and standards

Administers and supports Microsoft Active directory as it pertains to Microsoft Exchange

Develops and implements access, monitoring, control and documentation

Participates in preparing and testing the disaster recovery plan

Provides 24x7 response and assistance for all urgent and related responsibilities

Provides subject matter expertise support to Help Desk and end users

Creates, tests and manages scripts as needed for management and administration

Supports other messaging administrators and engineers and acts as resource to other team members

Participates in the on-call rotation process

Comfortable interacting with Firm leaders through presentations or one on one contact Performs other duties as assigned/required

Required

5 years’ experience engineering in a large messaging system environment

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Technology or equivalent experience

Extensive knowledge of email security and authentication measures (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)

Significant experience implementing email delivery and security platforms including message/spam filtering, transport threats and vulnerabilities, intrusion detection, antivirus and antimalware

Deep knowledge of Exchange 2016 management and troubleshooting

Deep knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Online Protection and Exchange Online

Demonstrated knowledge of Enterprise Vault email archiving management

Demonstrated knowledge of windows servers and desktop messaging software

Excellent communication skills

Commitment to standards and documentation

The ability to handle multiple priorities successfully

Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for working collaboratively

Preferred

Microsoft Exchange related certifications preferred

Previous law firm experience highly desired, though not required

Experience in Microsoft 365 with focus on Exchange Online experience, security and migrations to include Purview, Azure AD, and Exchange Online Protection

Experienced in systems currently used by firm is preferred: Microsoft Server versions 2008 and higher, Veritas Enterprise Vault archiving and Discovery Accelerator, Microsoft Instant messaging and collaboration tools, MDM solutions, Load balancer technology
