Responsibilities
Write approximately 7 news stories daily, including breaking news, trending stories and not widely-covered stories that have the potential to go viral.
Conduct research to gather information and ensure accuracy of content.
Fact-check information to maintain credibility and integrity of written materials.
Incorporate Social Media content in the tone and style of written material
Collaborate with team members to brainstorm ideas and develop engaging content.
Tailor writing style and tone to target audience and purpose of the content.
Revise and proofread written materials for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in writing and editing.

Required
Bachelor's degree in Journalism or equivalent experience
Proven experience in writing, editing, or a related field.
Strong command of the English language with excellent grammar and spelling skills.
Familiarity with copy editing techniques to ensure clarity and coherence of written materials.
Ability to conduct thorough research to gather accurate information.
Understanding of fact-checking processes to maintain accuracy in written content.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred
Background in journalism or creative writing is preferred.
Knowledge of technical writing principles is a plus.
