Responsibilities
Manage and implement the City’s comprehensive Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Program.
Disseminate information to internal and external customers, providing compliance assistance.
Collaborate with regional and statewide entities on stormwater environmental concerns.
Interpret, comply with, and enforce environmental regulations.
Work closely with environmental regulatory agencies.
Supervise staff, set work priorities, plan, and organize environmental compliance programs.
Plan, administer, and coordinate City-wide programs for MS4 permit compliance.
Oversee Stormwater Water Quality (WQ), pollution prevention, and Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) programs.
Establish environmental compliance requirements for all City departments.
Organize and conduct environmental training for City staff.

Required
Bachelor's degree in environmental science, biology, geology, or a closely related field
Minimum of five years of related, full-time equivalent experience
Minimum of two years supervising environmental specialists and/or technicians
Valid driver's license and a driving record that is in compliance with City Driving Standards
Combined Erosion and Sediment Control and Stormwater Inspector or Combined Program Administrator certification, or must be obtained within twelve (12) months of hire
Preferred
Employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies
Emergency operations support work and work locations may be outside of normal job duties
