Responsibilities
Supporting the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of watershed improvement and mine remediation projects
Conducting water quality sampling for E. coli, metals, and other chemistry parameters
Performing data entry, management, and synthesis
Preparing trips and equipment
Building and deploying mobile phone and satellite communication technology and environmental sensors
Providing field support on projects
Implementing, monitoring, and measuring the effectiveness of best management practices
Assisting in various projects and duties as assigned

Use Geographic Information Systems software at a basic level
Conduct basic data analysis

Background or interest in coding and electronics or willingness to become proficient; remote environmental monitoring
On occasion, work long days under sometimes difficult field conditions (hot, cold, wet, uneven terrain)
Willingness and availability to sample stormflow and spring runoff water samples on short notice
Bachelor's degree or higher in environmental sciences, natural resources, hydrology, geology, or related field
Preferred
Stream sampling experience (multiparameter probes, flow meters, stage gages, etc.)
ArcGIS
electronic survey forms (Survey 123, Collector)
1 to 3 years' experience in environmental sciences, natural resources, hydrology, geology, or related field
Field experience Watershed project implementation
GIS certificate
Project management certificate
