Responsibilities
Monitor network traffic for unusual activity.
Analyzing security incidents to identify the root cause
Coordinate with incident response teams to mitigate and resolve security incidents.
Conduct security assessments through vulnerability testing and risk analysis
Identify and mitigate potential security risks.
Develop and maintain risk management strategies.
Performing both internal and external security audits
Participate in the development, implementation, and maintain security policies, protocols, and procedures.
Participate in updating the company’s incident response and disaster recovery plans.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
Educate and train staff on information security best practices.
Manage and maintain security systems such as Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, End-Point Detection, and antivirus software.
Perform security audits and system tests to ensure robust security controls are in place and working as intended.
In-depth knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security architecture.
Implement and monitor encryption standards to protect sensitive data.
Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats and trends.
Conduct threat intelligence gathering and analysis.
Provide recommendations for threat mitigation.
Work with other IT and security professionals to integrate security measures into the overall IT infrastructure.
Communicate security risks and issues to stakeholders effectively.
Assist in the development of security awareness programs.

Required
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or combination of education and experience
Four (4) years or more working in a Security Analyst Role
Four (4) years or more working in a complex information Security Environment
Preferred
Master’s degree in Information Technology, CS, MIS, Business, or related field
Five (5-7) years or more working in a complex information Security Environment
Experience with cloud security and securing cloud-based applications
Familiarity with incident response frameworks and methodologies
Hands-on experience with advanced persistent threats (APT) and threat hunting techniques
Proven experience with security frameworks and standards such as NIST CSF and SP800-53, ISO 27001, GDPR
Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are highly desirable
