Equipment Engineer - Mid Career

Responsibilities
Champion the company safety program and safe work practices in all activities.
Assist in preparation and review of Work Plans and related safety and planning paperwork.
Evaluate available equipment repair options.
Work with Equipment Manager, Superintendents, and Foremen to plan and schedule major equipment projects.
Assist in developing overall project logistics including on-time procurement.
Set and monitor budgets, production goals, and schedules.
Work with Equipment Manager and Superintendents to continually develop the company’s maintenance procedures and standards.

Required
Has obtained an undergraduate AS/ BS degree in Diesel/Automotive Technology, Heavy Equipment Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical or Civil Engineering or Construction Mgmt.
3-5 years of experience as a staff engineer is required
Must possess a good mechanical foundation and strong work ethic
The ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels is required
Willingness and ability to work a minimum of a 40-hour work week Mon – Fri with overtime as needed and one Saturday every other month is required
Preferred
Experience with crane, floating equipment and heavy machinery is a plus
Knowledge of MS Office Products
Experience with scheduling software is considered an asset (P6, MS Projects)
