Responsibilities
Manage a highly complex executive calendar and meeting coordination.
Provide on-site logistical support for meetings including slides, agendas, refreshments, video teleconferencing, etc.
Coordinate complex travel logistics such as arranging flights, transportation, lodgings, meeting registrations, and tracking financial commitments.
Exercise skilled judgment and discretion in triaging emails and other incoming requests for the Dean.
Draft written communications and materials, provide background materials, talking points, and briefing materials for the Dean.
Compose and maintain the Dean's task lists.
Take on a variety of ad-hoc projects as needed.
Provide high executive level support and direct inquiries to appropriate resources as needed.
Understand Dean's goals and priorities, School's structure, academic programs, policies, workflow, and communication demands.
Resolve the most complex issues with institution-wide impact using concepts and organizational objectives.
Maintain an expert level of professionalism, confidentiality, and diplomacy.

Required
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Minimum 5 years of experience working in a large complex organization supporting an executive.
Advanced knowledge of the organization's processes, protocols and procedures.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of common organization-specific computer applications.
Strong analytical / problem-solving skills.
Political acumen and sensitivities to the differing perspectives and political circumstances within all levels of the organization as well as the Office of the President and external constituencies.
Advanced service orientation.
Strong skills to communicate and influence effectively with all levels of staff, faculty, alumni / donors, students and external constituents, both verbally and in writing. Advanced writing, proofreading and editing skills.
Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes. Flexibility to adapt to sudden changes.
Ability to use a high level of discretion and maintain all confidentiality.
Mid-level project management skills.
Ability to work both independently and in a group/team setting.
Preferred
Knowledge of federal regulations such as FERPA.
