Responsibilities
Coordinates administrative activities for the clinical, administrative, and academic sectors of the Cardiology department.
Acts as the primary point of contact for patients travelling to Mount Sinai for consultation and/or treatment by the Chief of Cardiology.
Manages complex calendar including domestic and global travel arrangements.
Prepares travel reimbursements and expense reports.
Screens and prioritizes incoming mail & email communications for necessary action and follow up.
Screens telephone calls, answers inquiries, or directs callers to the appropriate individual.
Assists in planning forums, conferences, seminars, meetings, and prepares presentations/slide decks.
Checks materials submitted for the Chief of Cardiology’s attention to ensure all relevant data are included.
Assists with grant applications, special projects, and survey preparations.
May maintain departmental employee files and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
May mentor, train new office staff, and monitor performance.
May develop informational materials and research for reports.
Ensures adequate restock of supplies for the department.

Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
5 years related administrative experience supporting individuals in leadership roles
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Proficiency in MS Office
