Responsibilities
Oversee long-term organizational growth and development, while centering core Tribal values and supporting AMLT’s role in expanding Indigenous stewardship in Central California.
Develop and guide overall business and financial strategy in compliance with organizational policy and contractual obligations.
Provide oversight of land conservation and land management activities, including acquisitions and easements.
Oversee AMLT program, personnel, and business affairs through policy and process development, delegation, and evaluation.

Required
Experience in guiding vision, strategy, and policy within a community-focused organization.
Ability to collaborate with a Board of Directors and Tribal Band leadership.
Experience in implementing strategic plans focused on indigenous knowledge and practices.
Proven leadership in overseeing personnel and operations.
Ability to develop resources to ensure financial health.
Experience acting as a spokesperson and champion within a community.
Ability to cultivate meaningful relationships with community members, tribal nations, conservation partners, elected and agency officials, and funders.
Experience in overseeing long-term organizational growth and development.
Ability to develop and guide overall business and financial strategy in compliance with organizational policy and contractual obligations.
Experience providing oversight of land conservation and land management activities, including acquisitions and easements.
Experience in policy and process development, delegation, and evaluation.
