Responsibilities
Lead the iteration and execution of ESYNYC's strategic plan in partnership with the Board and staff.
Manage and measure the growth and excellence of ESYNYC's programs.
Foster an inclusive, mission-driven organizational culture and lead with a commitment to social and racial justice.
Build authentic connections with internal and external stakeholders and manage relationships effectively.
Create and implement an annual fundraising plan and raise funds from various sources.
Serve as ESYNYC's chief representative, speaking publicly about the organization's work and maintaining a strong brand presence.

Required
Bachelor's degree
At least 10 years of professional experience in related fields such as education or food systems
Deep commitment to racial and social justice
Strong cultural competence
Proven ability to engage and lead diverse groups
Compassionate, empathetic, collaborative leadership style
Demonstrated fundraising track record
Proven experience scaling a team, program, or organization
Demonstrated listening and learning orientation
Relevant content knowledge in health, education, and/or public policy related to food system issues and education
Unwavering commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation
Excellence in organizational and people management
Exceptional listening and communications skills
Strong marketing, public relations, and external relations acumen
Strong knowledge and experience in fundraising
Experience and general knowledge of HR
Experience leading teams and programs in a hybrid work environment
Ability to travel around NYC and have a presence at program sites and events as needed
Preferred
Experience with union management
Experience closing major gifts
