Responsibilities
Provide launch support for automotive exterior component parts, including bumpers, cladding, spoilers, door exterior trim, front grills, garnish, mudguards, and emblems.
Possess excellent product knowledge of exterior trim components.
Inspect components for quality, identifying and addressing defects.
Determine the root cause of product issues and provide temporary countermeasures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to find permanent solutions or design fixes for ongoing issues.
Create CAD proposals in Catia V5 and manage changes accordingly.
Work closely with exterior system and plastic component suppliers, supporting overall vehicle development milestones and production build events.
Responsible for technical documentation, including DFMEAs (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and DVP&Rs (Design Verification Plan and Report).

Required
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive exterior or bumper components and subsystems
Knowledge of manufacturing technologies
Ability to perform feasibility and packaging studies
In-depth knowledge of plastic tooling
