Responsibilities

Assists with emergency response to all hospital mechanical systems as required

Assists with general plumbing, electrical and HVAC functions

Performs routine Preventive Maintenance and repair on all plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems

Supports construction / renovation project installations as assigned

Performs general cleaning of maintenance areas and mechanical rooms

Works efficiently and completes assigned tasks in a timely manner

Projects a positive and professional image of self and the hospital

Studies and reviews blue prints, schematics, and drawings for the purpose of determining the efficient installation of new or upgraded systems

Assists with and receive training in a variety of skilled trade functions (e.g. plumbing, painting, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, etc.) for the purpose of completing projects within established time frames

Provides support during installation of plumbing, electrical & HVAC systems

Required

High School graduate or recognized equivalent plus formal trade/vocational school training.

Participates in orientation, on-the-job training and continuing education in order to maintain the knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.
