Responsibilities
Prioritize safety above all to protect team members, partners, and customers.
Plan, design, and oversee construction and maintenance of facilities, focusing on supporting the launch of new automotive vehicle projects.
Collaborate with manufacturing engineering teams, architects, contractors, and stakeholders to develop and implement facility projects.
Manage facility improvement projects specific to automotive manufacturing, from conceptualization to completion.
Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance and repair needs related to automotive manufacturing processes.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for critical systems and equipment supporting automotive production.
Manage facility budgets, ensuring optimization of costs for maintenance and improvement projects related to automotive manufacturing.
Ensure compliance with regulations related to facilities, with an emphasis on automotive manufacturing safety standards.
Oversee security systems and protocols to safeguard the facility, considering automotive manufacturing security requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address facility-related needs for automotive vehicle launches.
Manage relationships with external vendors contributing to automotive manufacturing facility projects.
Implement energy conservation initiatives and sustainable practices specific to automotive manufacturing facilities.
Provide technical expertise and support for facility-related issues in launching new automotive vehicles.
Develop and maintain facility documentation, including blueprints, manuals, and records.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Professional Engineer (PE) license and advance degree is a plus)
Proven experience as a Facility Engineer or in a similar role, with a track record of successfully supporting automotive vehicle launches
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing continues improvement, facility management principles and best practices, especially in an automotive manufacturing context
Experience in project management, including planning, budgeting, and execution, with a focus on automotive manufacturing facility projects
Ability to troubleshoot and address facility-related issues promptly, specifically those impacting automotive manufacturing processes
Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards relevant to automotive manufacturing facilities
Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software
Knowledge of energy conservation practices and sustainability initiatives in the context of automotive manufacturing
Experience with facilities in automotive manufacturing or similar industrial settings
Preferred
Certification in Facility Management (CFM) is a plus
