Responsibilities

Analyzing historical record hints and performing genealogical research to accurately link individuals together as families in the family tree

Investigating possible duplicate profiles in the tree and pruning them as needed to improve the overall health of the family tree

Working with and training volunteers and missionaries on assigned tasks

Engaging in additional tree-building activities as needed

Required

Reading and writing proficiency in ONE of the following languages: Portuguese, French or German.

Business level English proficiency.

Must be a student or have graduated within the past year.

Must reside in the United States of America when performing the work.

Part-time availability, up to 28 hours per week.

Ability to work alone as a contributor.

Ability to manage time efficiently.

Ability to drive oneself to meet expectations required for team success.

Working knowledge of FamilySearch products such as the FamilySearch Catalog and Family Tree.

Ability to complete detailed work with accuracy and efficiency.

Strong genealogical research skills.

Demonstrated paleography skills to accurately decipher historical documents in any of the following languages: French, German, Portuguese.

High computer proficiency including Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred

Conversational speaking ability in any of the following languages: French, German, Portuguese.
