Farm Support Supervisor

Responsibilities
Analyzing existing operations, crops, livestock, etc. and introduce documentation and record-keeping while recommending improvements.
Problem solving focusing on efficiency and take a hands-on approach to management.
Preparing plans and schedules for planting and harvesting and ensuring individuals and staff understand expectations.
Promote and enhance additional interests for expansion and growth of the business.
Ensuring seeds, (fertilizers, pesticides, etc. if introduced), and other supplies are regularly restocked.
Conduct regular inspections of crops, livestock, soil, and water quality to maintain the highest standards of production.
Support the marketing and sale of products produced on the farm including but not limited to, fruit, vegetables, and grains.
Ensuring all individuals and staff adheres to OSHA regulations.
Collaborating with the Finance Department if help is needed with preparing budgets and financial reports.
Building professional networks and keeping abreast of developments in agricultural science.
Overseeing the functionality of farming equipment.

Required
A minimum of an Associate Degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, or equivalent.
Extensive experience in a farming-related field.
Equipment Maintenance: MSS Equipment and Infrastructure.
A passion for agriculture.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to work overtime as required.
Preferred
Additional courses in Business Management or Administration are not required, but preferred.
Management experience a plus.
