Responsibilities

Conduct advanced finite element analysis (FEA) simulations to evaluate and validate the structural integrity, performance, and reliability of components, assemblies, and systems.
Develop and implement sophisticated numerical models and simulation methodologies to simulate complex engineering problems and provide accurate insights.
Analyze simulation results comprehensively to assess the structural, thermal, and dynamic behavior of components, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, product managers, and manufacturing teams, to provide simulation-based insights and recommendations for product enhancements.
Perform sensitivity analyses and optimization studies to improve product performance, reduce weight, enhance durability, and minimize cost, ensuring adherence to project timelines and goals.
Validate simulation results by conducting comparative analysis with experimental data and coordinating physical testing as required.
Generate detailed and comprehensive reports and technical documentation, effectively communicating simulation results, methodologies, and recommendations to stakeholders.
Keep abreast of the latest advancements in FEA techniques, software tools, and industry best practices, and actively apply this knowledge to enhance simulation capabilities and workflows.
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to junior engineers, contributing to their professional development and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, engineering codes, and regulations, while maintaining the highest levels of accuracy and precision in simulations.

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as an FEA Simulation Engineer, preferably in a similar role within the engineering or manufacturing industry.
Proficient in utilizing commercial FEA software such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or Nastran, with a demonstrated ability to develop and execute complex simulations.
Strong understanding of advanced structural mechanics, heat transfer, and computational methods, with a focus on real-world applications.
Solid knowledge of material properties and behavior, fatigue analysis, and fracture mechanics, ensuring accurate representation in simulations.
Experience working with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) for geometry preparation and meshing, enabling seamless integration with FEA models.
Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python or MATLAB, enabling automation, data processing, and customization of simulation workflows.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a meticulous attention to detail and the ability to identify innovative solutions to complex challenges.
Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitating collaboration and understanding.
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines effectively.

Preferred

Master's degree or Ph.D. in a relevant discipline is highly desirable.
