Field Application Scientist

Responsibilities
Provide in-depth technical knowledge of Thrive Biosciences' products during pre-sales discussions and post-sales support. Conduct product demonstrations, workshops, and training sessions for prospective and current customers.
Partner with the field sales representatives to develop and deliver compelling presentations, proof-of-concept experiments, and customized solutions tailored to customer needs. Assist in lead qualification and solution positioning to ensure alignment with customer requirements.
Act as the primary technical contact for customers, addressing inquiries, resolving technical issues, and maintaining relationships to ensure high customer satisfaction. Support customers during the onboarding and integration phases of Thrive Biosciences' solutions.
Collect and relay customer feedback to R&D and product development teams to refine products and align them with market needs. Collaborate with marketing to create targeted technical materials and application notes.
Stay informed on emerging trends in cell biology, imaging, automation, and related fields to position Thrive Biosciences as a market leader. Provide insights on competitor offerings and customer needs to the sales and product teams.
Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and R&D, to align strategies and deliver seamless customer experiences. Support the creation of marketing tools such as presentations, case studies, and training modules.

Required
3+ years in a technical, customer-facing role within the life sciences or biotech industry (e.g., application scientist, technical support, or related roles).
Hands-on experience with imaging, assay development, automation, cell culture, process development, or cell biology.
Proven ability to explain complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
Skilled in creating and delivering technical presentations and training sessions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address technical challenges and provide customer solutions.
Degree in Sciences, preferably Life Sciences, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be comfortable working in a fast paced, start up environment.
Must be able to use basic office equipment: computer, standard MS Office applications, printer, copier, phone, etc.
Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time. Travel will be primarily within the assigned territory.
Preferred
PhD is strongly preferred and will be given higher priority.
