Responsibilities

Remotely assist with installs, troubleshoots, repairs of all network, desktop & voice equipment at any Copart sites.
Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot data circuits and provide assistance to the WAN Service provider to resolve/repair data circuits.
Report all circuit outages or project scope changes to the End User Computer Manager.
Initiate tickets with the appropriate vendors for any break/fix issue that may occur in the yards or Campus.
Track, update and resolve tickets in the Helpdesk Ticketing system.
Document and update all equipment, PC, ET2000, printers, PC, UPS and any such IT Equipment.
Manage inventory and documentation for all equipment in the Campus and the Field.
Install and support all IT devices used at the Campus, offices and Yard and includes PC’s, Servers, Voice and Voip Equipment, Mobility devices and Infrastructure components.
Aid on IT projects as directed, including but not limited to research, configuration, and deployment.
Coordinate operational yard and Campus changes, adds, moves, integrations, to meet business needs.
Create and compile documents to update projects in Copart’s SharePoint site.
Determine and design the best locations for infrastructure wiring on the floor plans.
Coordinate with Copart Telecom services department to cancel or delete telecommunications services for all yards, projects and offices.
Coordinate with various vendors to get the appropriate quotes for Copart projects.
Coordinate with Copart’s desktop support team on purchasing, configuring and shipping all PC equipment to the project yard or site.
Purchase and configure all network and desktop equipment for the yards and campus.
Coordinate with the yards site contact on the arrival of the IT equipment and Copart team to site.
Review inventory of the IT equipment with the site contact at the project yard or site.
Survey the Offices, or any Copart sites, and report all discrepancies to the End User Computing Manager.
Obtain approval from the End User Computing Manager before making changes to the floorplan or job scope.
Verify all telecommunication circuits and phone lines are operational.
Expedite all Telecom issues to the Telecom services department.
Assist with the installation of the network and PC equipment any projects at the yards, Campus or remote sites.
Provision all global and local overrides for the devices at the project yard or site.
Conduct tests on all PC equipment, ET2000, PCs, printer overrides to verify connectivity to the network.
Finalize all the job scope tasks before project yard or site’s opening day.
Resolve all IT related questions or issues the yard or site might have on opening day.
Other duties as assigned.

Required

Individual must have a basic knowledge of Telecommunications installations, ( phones, PBX , LAN cabling and data circuits)
Must be self-motivated, able to work independently and possess/demonstrate good judgment in stressful situations.
Individual must have excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Familiar with network and PC equipment physical installations i.e. set up of switches, PCs, printers and AS400 terminals
Individual must be able to work with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Visio to complete basic tasks.
Must possess excellent communication and customer services skills in order to work with services providers, vendors and Copart employees.
Individual must be able to lift 20 pound items repeatedly
Must have an understanding of cabling infrastructure practices, procedures and standards.

Preferred

Possess excellent project management skills.
Possess a high degree of understanding and knowledge of data networking and telecommunication.
