Field Practicum Specialist

Responsibilities
Maintain an up-to-date database of agency contracts/agreements for assigned programs and ensure regular reviews and updates.
Communicate with full-time and part-time faculty regarding potential viable agencies/programs for practicum or fieldwork placements.
Serve as the point of contact for agencies to field questions and assist with submission edits.
Facilitate the signing and renewal of field/practicum agreements between the agency/program and the University, ensuring timely collaboration with Central Office departments.
Coordinate agency contract requests, renewals, and administer agreement documentation with relevant departments, agencies, and faculty.
Facilitate the completion, submission, and tracking of required documentation, such as proof of student liability insurance and monitor insurance expirations.
Administer the time-recording process for practicum students and site supervisors, including the use of time-recording software.
Monitor and facilitate the extension of existing agency/program agreements and manage the centralized storage of completed documents.
Maintain and update the approved agency/program list and create student and faculty resource areas on MyUMassGlobal.
Coordinate student registrations, ensure successful fieldwork progress, and manage practicum continuation course enrollment and readiness audits.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of experience and education
Administrative experience managing multiple priorities in complex working environment
Knowledge of academic processes in college/university setting
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to problem solve, troubleshoot, and work under pressure
Highly developed organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to exercise independent judgment, demonstrate tact and diplomacy, and maintain a high level of confidentiality
Preferred
Experience working in an academic environment
