Responsibilities

Assist in machine service (electrical & mechanical), including the repair and installation of new machines, relocation of existing equipment, customer training, and preventative maintenance.

Support troubleshooting efforts and participate in proactive maintenance programs.

Learn to order parts necessary for installations and repairs.

Shadow experienced technicians to develop skills in diagnosing faults and making recommendations in customer environments.

Required

A background or education in electrical engineering or a related field.

Basic understanding of electrical systems and components, including VFDs, servo drives, and PLC logics.

Experience with electrical & electronic circuits wiring and troubleshooting.

Proficiency with hand and power tools.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

An independent, responsible work style with a willingness to learn.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment.

Candidates must be flexible to travel extensively throughout the US and Canada.

Ideal candidates should be located within one hour of a major international airport.

Preferred

Familiarity with the packaging or finishing converting industry is a plus.

Technical degree related to electrical engineering, technical science, industrial engineering, etc. near completion preferred.
