Responsibilities

Handle general accounting and financial reporting responsibilities, including the preparation of monthly management accounts and other financial reports

Prepare and present monthly management accounts, volume data, and other key insights to the executive committee (EXCO) and board of directors

Draft financial statements for the group entities based in Malta

Act as the primary point of contact with external and internal auditors

Oversee tax reporting, including the preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns and the annual income tax return

Manage regulatory reporting, ensuring timely preparation and submission of reports to the MFSA and Central Bank of Malta

Serve as the main point of contact for the MFSA and Central Bank of Malta, addressing queries related to regulatory returns, particularly those concerning the safeguarding of client funds

Evaluate current procedures, implementing improvements or new processes as needed, and ensure their effective maintenance

Ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures for client funds and adherence to relevant regulations

Maintain compliance with capital requirements, ensuring they are met consistently

Monitor various outsourced functions monthly, as specified under the updated outsourcing agreement, including Finance, Tax, Client Treasury, Corporate Treasury, Business Assurance, and Operations

Participate in project discussions and implementations, including initiatives related to ESG and CESOP

Perform other ad-hoc tasks as required
