Responsibilities

Deliver personalized wealth management advice to help clients achieve their financial goals
Develop a book of business by effectively sourcing prospective clients, capitalize on referrals, develop an advanced understanding of client financial needs, and deliver the full resources of Whitley Penn through collaboration to provide an optimal experience and results for the client
Recommend investment products and services that are suitable for prospects and clients based on their objectives, resources, time horizon, risk profile and preferences
Balance investment management, sales activities, customer service, new client development, administrative tasks and maintain compliance
Enhance skill set through continuous personal development and training, day-to-day and as it relates to your long-term plan
Show initiative to develop necessary skills to move into a manager role

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Series 65 required
Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) professional designation is required within the first 12 months
5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance culminating into a strategic financial leadership role preferably in an RIA model business organization
Ability to grasp technology, and strong proficiency in Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Demonstrate strong presentation, analytical, interpersonal and relationship management skills
Must be highly driven, self-motivated and have a strong work ethic
Effective communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy skills, inclusive of the ability to interact and work well across all levels of the firm
Must excel in an entrepreneurial, dynamic environment and take on new responsibilities as necessary and operate within the highest of ethical standards

Preferred

Advanced degree in a relatable field
CPA License/experience in public accounting
