Responsibilities

Analyzing financial data

Creating financial models

Providing insights to support strategic business decisions

Developing new financial reports and tracking and reporting on KPI’s

Researching and explaining budget variances

Creating and working with large linked excel files

Understanding of GAAP, the General Ledger, and the Chart of Accounts

Creating, building and maintaining financial models

Reading, understanding and applying the financial terms of vendor contracts

Working with Finance, Accounts Payable, Purchasing and external vendors

Seeing financial processes through to completion

Being extremely detail oriented

Multi-tasking and meeting multiple competing deadlines

Working independently under general direction

Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required

Minimum Experience/Knowledge: 5 years of accounting (specifically fund accounting) AND financial analysis experience in a hospital or similar environment (Information Technology knowledge a plus)

Experience as a mid-level financial/budget analyst

Experience developing new financial reports and tracking and reporting on KPI’s

Financial Analysis (be able to analyze and explain financial data)

Budget/Variance Analysis (be able to research and explain budget variances)

Excel (v-look ups, pivot tables, sum-ifs); experience creating and working with large linked excel files

Understanding of GAAP, the General Ledger, and the Chart of Accounts with a deep understanding of amortization and pre-paids accounting entries

Experience creating, building and maintaining financial models

Experience working with a major financial ERP (i.e. Infor Lawson)

Experience reading, understanding and applying the financial terms of vendor contracts, i.e, payment milestones, invoice terms, etc. Be able to validate invoices against executed contract terms.

Experience working with Finance, Accounts Payable, Purchasing and external vendors and working with them to shepherd invoices and PO’s through to final payment/execution. Be comfortable being responsible for seeing these items (and other financial processes) through to completion.

Must be extremely detail oriented

Must be able to multi-task and meet multiple competing deadlines

Must be a reasonably quick learner.

Must be able to work independently under general direction
