Responsibilities
Financial Reporting: Lead and manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP. Provide insights into financial performance and trends.
Internal Controls & Compliance: Implement and monitor internal control frameworks to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. Oversee risk management and SOX compliance.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Drive the budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with various departments to develop accurate and achievable financial plans.
Audit Coordination: Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits, ensuring all necessary documentation is provided, and recommendations are addressed promptly.
Accounting Operations: Oversee the accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and tax compliance.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow planning and ensure the availability of funds as needed. Maintain banking relationships and develop strategies for cash management and funding
System Optimization: Utilize and optimize financial systems to streamline reporting and improve financial processes

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience with financial regulatory requirements.
Excellent leadership and communication skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Experience with financial and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks) and advanced proficiency in Excel.
Preferred
Experience in the renewable energy sector or similar financing industries is a plus.
Knowledge of solar financing models and renewable energy tax incentives (e.g., ITCs).
Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Familiarity with working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
