Responsibilities

Month-end close activities, including reconciliations, accruals, and posting journal entries
Preparing and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements
Manage invoicing and billing
Support the Director of Finance in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and documentation for tax and audit filings
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial data to internal and external stakeholders
Support the development and monitoring of annual budgets
Track and report on budget performance, including variance analysis
Assist departmental managers in managing their budgets and expenditures
Streamline financial processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial operations and implement best practices.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational performance.
Ensure adherence to financial regulations, tax laws, and internal controls.
Assist in the preparation of audit, tax, and regulatory filings.
Identify and mitigate financial risks to protect company assets.
Assist in financial projects, providing data analysis and insights.
Participate in system implementation and upgrade projects to enhance financial operations.

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA or bookkeeping certification) is a plus.
Minimum: has goals or is intending to become a CPA
2-4 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, operations, or a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, particularly Excel and Sheets (advanced functions).
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.

Preferred

Experience with financial software (QBO, Bill.com, Rillet, Brex or equivalent) is preferred.
501(c)(3) accounting experience is a plus.
