Responsibilities

Team Leadership: Participate in the development and execution of a strategic vision for the FRR function, aligning with organizational goals and regulatory expectations. Lead and manage the FRR team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure team effectiveness and individual growth.

FRR Reporting Oversight: Take ownership of the end-to-end reporting process for the assigned reports, managing the preparation, validation, and submission of various regulatory reports in adherence to regulatory requirements. Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead automation initiatives.

Governance and Controls Refinement: Lead initiatives to refine the governance and compensating controls for the reporting process of assigned reports, ensuring a robust framework that aligns with regulatory expectations. Maintain comprehensive documentation of reporting processes.

Data Explanation Processes: Develop processes for investigating historical changes in the reporting data and downstream MIS reports, providing explanations on data variations, establishing escalation procedures, and ensuring clear documentation of the underlying drivers.

Regulatory Interaction: Serve as the primary subject matter expert for regulatory inquiries about the assigned reports, fostering a collaborative relationship and ensuring compliance with regulatory expectations.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting major is preferred

7-10 years of experience in financial reporting, regulatory reporting, or related field. Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide strategic insights into complex financial data

In-depth understanding of financial regulations and reporting requirements. Demonstrated experience in refining governance and compensating controls within a regulatory reporting context

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders. Prior experience interfacing with regulators

Flexibility to adapt to changes in regulations and business requirements while guiding the team through transitions

Strong ability to handle multiple tasks

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Preferred

Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g. CPA, CFA)

Experience in BI tools such as Alteryx or Power Bi is a plus
