Responsibilities

Perform routine systems duties to help in assuring effective business processes are employed, the financial systems are performing as expected, operation and maintenance activities are scheduled and carried out according to plan and users are properly supported for effective use of the financial systems environment.

Assist in identifying and resolving critical business process and, functional issues within UFMS and the IHS financial systems environment by working closely with federal/contractor technical resources to recommend applicable solutions using the latest tools and applications particularly in the Oracle federal financials environment.

Provide assistance, advice and recommendations in requirements gathering, solution design, testing, deployment and validation and ensures IHS solutions meet the HHS Enterprise Performance Life Cycle (EPLC) and information technology and project management best practices with emphasis in the UFMS (Oracle) environment.

Collaborate with federal and contract resources for major upgrades, significant global development activities and implementation of commercial off the shelf software (COTS). Participate in federal/contractor teams to execute these projects and oversee the development and adherence to the project plan/schedule as needed. Participate in meetings with DHHS, Treasury, OMB and other high-level officials to ensure successful project completion.

BASIC REQUIREMENT(S): Financial Administration and Program Series 0501.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks.

Time In Grade: Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements.

You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.

This position has an education requirement. You are strongly encouraged to submit a copy of your transcripts or a list of your courses including titles, credit hours completed, and grades.
