Responsibilities

Provide network security for a large enterprise network

Troubleshoot network security suite systems

Work in a team setting making recommendations related to troubleshooting, device configuration, and documentation

Resolve issues in a timely manner dealing with a variety of different network devices and protocols following applicable reporting formats

Perform detailed technical analyses for a system, subsystem, or system elements

Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for resolving network issues.

Develop and/or revise system designs and architectures to improve efficiency, stability, effectiveness, supportability, and sustainability

Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related taskings as needed

Support occasional after hours and on-call shifts

Required

U.S. Citizenship

A minimum of a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level Security Clearance

6-9 years relevant experience in supporting a large network infrastructure

A strong working knowledge with Cisco devices, Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and Palo Alto Firewalls

A wide range of experience and be able to apply to various technical situations

A solid understanding of TCP/IP regarding routing and subnetting

Experience with the following Network protocols and services: Routing Protocols (OSPF, BGP) and Access Control Lists

The ability to work in a dynamic, high paced, team environment

Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to use professional concepts to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways

A baseline security certification and relevant operating environment certification:

Security Certification (CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SCCP)

Cisco (CCNA or CCNP) or Palo Alto certification

Preferred

Experience with F5

Hands on experience with the following: Palo Alto Firewall PA-4050, Palo Alto Firewall PA-2050, Palo Alto Firewall PA-5050, Cisco Switch/FWSM 6500-E, Cisco ASA 5500 Series Firewalls

Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (preferred but not required)
