Responsibilities

Assess and provide financial analysis and long-term grant projections to the Board of Directors

Develop and monitor Foundation programs budget as approved by the Board

Manage bank accounts for the Foundation assets as well as grantmaking and programs budgets

Perform monthly reconciliations for bank accounts and investment account using QuickBooks

Submit monthly reconciliation information to the Treasurer for review

Prepare and disseminate monthly financial reports to the Board

Prepare and report financial updates to Board of Directors at quarterly meetings

Liaise with Investment Advisor and associates to determine investment and payout strategy

Coordinate and fulfill requirements of the annual external financial audit and tax activities

Prepare grant agreements, review requests for adjustments to approved grants, and monitor grant reporting requirements

Draft resolutions and policies, maintain 501(c)3 compliance, and ensure no self-dealing transactions occur

Perform activities to run the Board of Directors meetings

Assist with Foundation programs and events

Required

Bachelor’s degree in business administration/management, finance, or accounting required

3+ years of experience with accounting software (QuickBooks preferred)

3+ years' experience understanding of financial investments including calculations of gains/losses

Preferred

Demonstrated proficiency in the use of software programs including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Teams, PowerPoint and Excel, with the ability to generate Adobe Sign documents for signature

Effective verbal and written communications skills

Analytical thinking with strong attention to detail

Proven ability and desire to work with numbers

Strong editing skills

Legal aptitude preferred
