Responsibilities
Build out creative deliverables for small and large campaigns. These could be social graphics, banners, creative designs, videos, web pages - we are looking both for creative specialists & generalists with high level execution skills.
Creating and editing digital graphics such as display banners, social media ads (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat), emails, and print.
Creating and editing motion graphics for our clients’ advertising campaigns, including motion typography, animated illustrations, and video production.
Creating concept sketches, style guides, storyboards, and moodboards.
Creating wireframes, prototypes, mockups, and style tiles for branding + web.
Own communication with internal M+R staff, through high level project & time management.
Explain creative choices to client teams, and incorporate client team feedback into rounds of edits, often on tight timelines.
Complete own work within the hours budgeted for their tasks, provide accurate hours estimates for projects, and complete work within agreed upon deadlines.

Required
4+ years of digital design experience.
Have worked for nonprofits, electoral campaigns, and/or other issue campaigns.
Ability to edit existing design, web, and video projects.
Experience creating motion graphics, especially for social media platforms.
Strong understanding of UI and UX.
Mastery of programs such as: Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects.
Great eye with colors, layout and typography.
Ability to work and talk through designs with internal creative & development teams.
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and audience first design trends.
Experience working with staff that are not designers - you can translate their requirements into a compelling design that meets the needs of our clients, while also staying true to design best practices.
Successful experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Capability to tackle big projects by breaking them down into smaller pieces.
Acute attention to detail and demonstrated ability to prioritize time to meet deadlines for multiple projects.
Proven track record to successfully pick up new skills, including learning new technologies.
Drive to seek what can be improved and offer ways to fix any potential roadblocks.
Strong ability to relay your ideas clearly verbally and in writing.
Available on contract approximately 10 hours a week.
Availability for last minute projects and edits with a tight turnaround.
Respond to inquiries within 24-hours.
Work in a timezone that overlaps with a timezone in the continental United States (PT, MT, CT, ET).
Preferred
Have created ads using HTML5.
