Responsibilities
Lead the development of intuitive, engaging, and high-performance user interfaces from the ground up.
Collaborate closely with the CTO and backend engineers to utilize our insurance APIs and translate ideas into high-quality user experiences.
Define, build, and maintain our front-end architecture, establishing best practices that set the foundation for future engineers.
Focus on performance, scalability, and responsiveness, ensuring our web applications provide a smooth experience across all devices.
Set and maintain high standards for code quality, readability, and maintainability.
Use your taste and intuition to champion the user perspective, advocating for thoughtful and accessible design.

Required
4+ years of professional experience in front-end development, with expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and your preferred framework whether React, Next.js, Vue, or Svelte.
Extensive experience using REST APIs as backend services in building performant UIs.
Proven ability to build complex, scalable applications emphasizing clean, maintainable code.
Strong experience with front-end architecture, design patterns, and best practices, including familiarity with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Zustand).
Source code control experience using Github or Bitbucket.
A collaborative mindset, with excellent communication skills and a knack for problem-solving.
Comfort in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and excitement for the challenge of being a team of one (for now!) in front-end engineering.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred
Experience with design systems and component libraries.
Familiarity with testing frameworks and best practices for front-end testing (e.g., Jest, Cypress).
Comfortable with cloud deployment and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience in financial services or insurance is a bonus, but not required.
