Responsibilities
Contribute to requirements gathering meetings
Review and analyze user stories, features and epics, along with acceptance criteria
Understand “Definition of Done”
Contribute to sprint planning
Regularly provide demonstration of code to customers, in additional to sprint reviews
Provide consistent sprint story point estimation as well as maintaining agile velocity
Design for new components
Utilize design patterns
Provide daily scrum work process status
Create, build and deliver quality, secure code using development tools for the user stories assigned to them
Unit test code delivered, using automated scripts or manual execution
Conduct peer code reviews in a professional manner
Adhere to project coding standards
Maintain all product artifacts in version control
Support configuration management locally and in other environments
Support release builds and deployments, contributing to automation where applicable
Verify code is ADA compliant, secure, and will meet performance requirements and other non-functional requirements of the project
Supports testing activities
Support deployments into production
Supports Tier 2 troubleshooting
Fixes defects
Must attempt to understand the customer, to “be in their” shoes, in order value the importance of the product being delivered
Must take care of and encourage other team members
Must deliver software that meets or exceeds customer expectations, verified during sprint reviews

Required
Must currently reside in the US.
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
Must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other Information Technology major (Or equivalent work experience)
5+ years’ experience developing applications with Javascript and Node JS.
5+ years experience working with Java applications.
Knowledge of object-oriented design methodologies-Knowledge of Information Systems Development Methodology (ISDM)
Familiarity with common programming tools such as Redux, IDEs (Eclipse and Intellij), RESTful APIs, Git repositories, TypeScript, version control software, and remote deployment tools
Experience using code repositories.
Knowledge of relational and object-oriented database designs
Ability to be creative, to use sound judgment, and to display foresight to identify potential problems and design/specifications and assigned application software systems.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to determine work priorities and ensure proper completion of work assignments.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Preferred
Experience with Maven
Experience with Weblogic
Experience with libraries like React or jQuery
Experience with Jenkins
Knowledge of React and common tools used in the wider React ecosystem, such as Node.js and npm
Experience with Cloud Technologies: Spring Cloud, AWS, and GCP
Industry Certifications (eg AWS, Azure, Security+)
Familiarity with Agile development, specifically Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP) and Kanban
Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals
