Responsibilities
Design and Build VR Game Levels: Create engaging, immersive levels tailored to virtual reality, with a strong emphasis on user experience, flow, and interactivity.
3D Modeling and Asset Creation: Build and optimize 3D models for environments, including props, terrain, architecture, and other level assets.
World Building: Use Unity to construct and implement environments in VR.
Optimization: Ensure that levels and assets are optimized for performance in VR, considering polycount, texture resolution, and draw calls.
Collaboration: Work closely with artists, game designers, and engineers to create cohesive and engaging levels.
Iteration and Feedback: Implement feedback from playtests and stakeholders to improve level design, gameplay mechanics, and overall visual aesthetics.
Lighting and Atmosphere: Apply appropriate lighting techniques and atmospheric effects to enhance immersion and gameplay experience.
Scripting and Interactivity: Implement basic scripting to add interactivity and gameplay elements within levels using game engine tools.
Testing and Debugging: Identify and resolve any design or technical issues related to environments and levels.

Required
Proficiency in Game Engines: Strong proficiency in Unity, Unreal Engine, or equivalent platforms for building VR experiences.
3D Modeling Skills: Expertise in 3D modeling software (e.g., Blender, Maya, 3ds Max) for creating game-ready assets.
Optimization Techniques: Knowledge of optimization techniques to ensure smooth performance in VR.
Artistic and Creative Skills: Strong eye for detail in environmental design, composition, lighting, and storytelling through level design.
Problem Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to level layout, gameplay, and performance.
Team Player: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Portfolio Requirements: Please include a portfolio or demo reel showcasing relevant work, including VR projects, level design examples, and 3D assets.
Preferred
Experience with procedural generation techniques for environments.
Familiarity with VR headsets like Oculus, HTC Vive, or PlayStation VR.
Understanding of physics and interaction systems in VR.
Experience with Substance Designer/Painter for texturing.
