Responsibilities

Conducting quality control checks on spatial data within a map editing environment to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Communicating effectively with team leads to address and resolve any issues.

Critically analyzing existing processes and providing suggestions for improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Providing support for ad hoc data processing needs as they arise.

Collaborating with other members of the Data Operations team to maintain high standards of data quality.

Required

Certificate, Associate's Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Geospatial Analysis, or a closely related field.

At least 6 months of professional GIS experience, or

Completed relevant GIS coursework, or

Experience as a contributor to OSM open-source communities.

Experience with desktop Geospatial software such as QGIS or ArcMap.

Ability to follow instructions as provided in process documentation.

Detail-oriented and highly organized self-starter.

Patience for repetitive tasks.

Ability to maintain a positive, helpful, and constructive attitude.

Ability to establish and maintain efficient working relationships with other onX employees.

Desire to contribute to a strong team dynamic.

A shared passion for and ability to demonstrate onX’s Company Values.

Permanent US work authorization is a condition of employment with onX.

Preferred

Experience working with cadastral, trails/transportation, and/or points of interest (POI) data.

Experience with editing OSM data via the iD Editor.
