Responsibilities

Using and applying geospatial software in support of disaster operations.
Creating, maintaining, and updating geospatial databases to ensure data accuracy.
Performing basic geo-processing and analytical tasks within Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) software.
Digitizing and geo-referencing data to support mapping efforts.

Required

Utilizing Remote Sensing (aerial and satellite imagery) Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and various geospatial modeling programs to analyze complex datasets in support of operations.
Providing analytical support including the development of planning factors and forecasting for response operations.
Effectively communicating (verbal and written) with internal and external stakeholders; and
Operating basic office automation systems, including personal computer systems and standard software packages for work processing, presentation graphics, spread sheets, data management and similar products.
You must be a U.S. citizen to be considered for this position.
You must successfully pass a background investigation.
Selective service registration is required for males born after 12/31/59.
All candidates must be a high school graduate or possess a GED.
Minimum age of eighteen years of age is required.
