Responsibilities

Business development; including bringing in new clients and obtaining repeat business from existing clients, leading proposal preparation, and developing and implementing a business development plan;

Management and mentoring of senior, mid-career and early-career staff and managing subcontractors;

Effectively stewarding and building client relationships to repeat business;

Managing the overall delivery of multiple projects within the scope / budget / schedule expectations and ensuring quality standards on project deliverables;

Geotechnical engineering design & analyses such as slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity, seismic, and seepage;

Geotechnical and environmental site characterization;

Development and management of instrumentation monitoring systems;

Preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications; and

Fieldwork associated with design and construction services.

Required

Bachelor's degree in civil, geotechnical or structural engineering or a related field of study

Professional registration (i.e., P.E.)

At least 15 years of directly relevant experience in a consulting environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience

An extensive track record of business development, client management, and leading proposal preparation

Knowledge of relevant geotechnical engineering software and numerical modeling tools

Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed

Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel

Preferred

Advanced degree in a related field of study

Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers
