Responsibilities
Serves as a general engineer providing professional and technical leadership, guidance, and expertise in managing contractor executed construction projects
Acts as the organizational subject matter expert regarding national standards and practices for geotechnical engineering designs related to dam construction safety renovations
Performs inspections and surveillance of construction work to ensure compliance with contract and specifications
Monitors submittals utilizing a submittal status log
Reviews and responds to Requests for Information (RFI)
Ensures contractors adhere to contract and specification requirements
Supports construction contract modifications

Required
Must be a US Citizen
Must pass a federal background review and drug screen
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Geology
5+ years of engineering, construction management, and geological experience, Alaska area preferred
Knowledge of soils and geological components for construction of barrier wall embankments
Experience with construction administration and capability of handling large civil works projects
Knowledge of dam construction and safety modification
Familiar with US Army Corps of Engineers’ processes
Preferred
US Army Corp of Engineering or other federal project experience
Experience with Resident Management System (RMS)
