Geotechnical Project Engineer

Responsibilities
Conduct and evaluate split-spoon borings, rock coring, and cone penetrometer tests.
Review geotechnical data and compile comprehensive reports.
Perform permeability tests in observation wells and measure cross-hole seismic shear wave velocities.
Utilize finite element modeling to design shallow and deep foundations and retaining structures.
Inspect construction sites, monitor vibrations, and conduct building condition surveys during construction.
Perform and analyze soil index lab tests, generate contours, calculate loads, and assess slope stability and settlement.
Conduct site-specific seismic response analyses and liquefaction studies.
Prepare design documents, contract drawings, and instrumentation plans.

Required
3+ years of experience
Proficiency in design software (Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD)
Proficiency with gINT geotechnical engineering software
Experience in LRFD/ASD design and complex analysis software
Experience in geotechnical and construction inspections
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred
M.S. in Civil, Geotechnical, or related engineering field
Professional Engineering (P.E.) license is a plus, but not needed
