Responsibilities
Create, update and maintain enterprise geographic databases.
Create, maintain, and document versions of data for display on pipeline centerline maps, alignment maps, and station drawings.
Analyze information and evaluate its applicability to the GIS system.
Report GIS pipeline and related data in query, tabular report, and graphical (Map) formats.
Interact with senior leadership to establish strategic plans and objectives.
Maintain and improve data management and field survey procedures.
Ensure company data integrity, accuracy, and efficient flow of data throughout the project life cycle.
Support the Database Administrator with maintenance and design of internal databases and implementation of new geospatial databases and schema.
Provide support for GIS related requests from internal and external clients.
Present GIS, data, capabilities, workflows, technical processes, organizational data flow, and GIS database schemas to management.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Information Systems, or related field
4-12 years prior experience working with GIS
Experience should include oil and gas and/or pipeline experience
Experience with creating, updating and maintaining geographic databases
Knowledge of ESRI's 9.3 & 10.x ArcGIS Desktop software
Preferred
Skill in developing computer programs/queries using standard language/tools
Working knowledge of AutoDesk software products and MicroStation
SQL Knowledge
Working knowledge of CFR 192 and 195 sections as applied to pipeline GIS
Strong knowledge of GIS concepts and techniques
In-depth knowledge of electric and gas utility business processes, operating standards and construction standards
Working knowledge of ESRI field apps
Advanced skills in data analysis using ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro
Experience working with ESRI’s ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online
FME software solutions is a plus
Experience with mobile GIS/GPS technology and concepts
Knowledge of relational database management (RDBMS) concepts
Working knowledge of the latest IT concepts, technologies, and terminology
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional presentation skills
End-user support and training experience
Effective planning and scheduling skills, understanding of customer value drivers
Ability to work under time constraints and deadlines
Ability to accomplish complex project tasks in cooperation with other employees and multiple departments
Knowledge of Survey practices and procedures
