Responsibilities
Conduct thorough research on federal, state, and local grant opportunities, focusing on funding for FQHCs, community health programs, and healthcare services for underserved populations.
Identify new and ongoing grant opportunities from government sources (e.g., HRSA, CMS), private foundations, and corporate sponsors.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends and priorities in healthcare funding, particularly related to FQHCs and public health initiatives.
Write compelling, clear, and well-researched grant proposals and applications tailored to the specific requirements of each funding opportunity.
Develop and organize all necessary documentation, including needs assessments, program descriptions, budgets, and outcomes measurement plans.
Collaborate with internal departments (finance, clinical staff, and program managers) to gather information and data required for proposal submissions.
Ensure proposals align with FQHC goals and comply with funders’ guidelines and submission requirements.
Coordinate and manage the preparation and submission of multiple grant applications within established deadlines.
Ensure all application materials are accurate, complete, and properly formatted according to the requirements of the funding agency.
Track submission deadlines, progress, and outcomes to ensure timely responses and follow-up with funders.
Work closely with the Finance team to develop detailed and realistic project budgets for grant applications, ensuring compliance with both funder and FQHC policies.
Prepare budget justifications and provide supporting documentation as needed.
Assist in the preparation of progress reports and final reports for funded projects, ensuring that all deliverables and milestones are met, in accordance with grant agreements.
Monitor ongoing compliance with funder guidelines, including reporting deadlines, financial reporting, and performance metrics.
Build and maintain strong relationships with funding agencies, partners, and internal stakeholders.
Communicate with funders as necessary to clarify grant requirements, timelines, and reporting expectations.
Support project managers and program staff in the implementation of grant-funded initiatives, ensuring that all funded programs adhere to the goals and objectives outlined in grant proposals.
Monitor program progress and assist with adjustments or additional reporting if required.

Required
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Proven experience in grant writing, with a strong portfolio of successfully funded proposals, particularly for Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), community health programs, or similar healthcare organizations.
Experience working with federal and state grant programs, including HRSA, CMS, SAMHSA, and other public health-related funding sources.
Knowledge of healthcare programs, especially primary care, behavioral health, and preventive services for underserved populations.
Strong familiarity with federal regulations, compliance requirements, and grant reporting processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional research, analytical, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and completeness.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and or Google software(s).
Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely to a variety of stakeholders.
Preferred
Experience in healthcare delivery, especially within underserved or vulnerable populations.
Familiarity with the specific needs and challenges of FQHCs.
Experience in budget development and financial reporting for grant applications.
