Responsibilities

Develop graphics, wordmarks, logos and other visual elements and ensure their consistent and appropriate use in all printed and digital materials.
Contribute by providing insights and creative input during team strategy sessions, assisting in the development and planning of promotional concepts aimed at driving engagement, boosting awareness, and increasing funding.
Problem solve and find multiple design solutions, especially under narrow parameters or strict budget restraints
Develop and execute creative concepts for multiple organizational initiatives, collaborating with colleagues to generate and implement effective solutions.
Design and produce internal and public-facing consumer campaign materials, including sales development materials, collateral, print ads, digital assets including online display advertising, with a focus on the audience at hand, as identified in creative briefs.
Support the Canva Design Community by creating impactful promotional print and digital templates.
Work with teams across the organization to ideate and produce creative designs for digital, print and in-person events.
Demonstrate creative problem-solving skills and solid creative sensibilities.
Prepare print-ready production files and ensure projects are completed with high quality design and file management.
Manage project timelines, present creative concepts in a group setting, and receive and incorporate art direction from the Art Director and VP of Brand & Marketing into your project work.
Provide production design support for the Art Director and Senior Designer by versioning designs for different sizes and preparing files for print.
Monitor current graphic and design trends, introduce new ideas, and incorporate innovations into projects.
Create original designs, with a strong design style and perspective, including creative within the constraints of brand standards.
Produce collateral including reports, one-sheets, posters, web banners, social media graphics, logos, and experiential design for in-person events.
Assist in suggesting and developing compelling event collateral designed to move the National 4-H Council brand forward.
Organize and prioritize work schedules using Asana project management software, attend department meetings, and manage multiple projects while adhering to strict deadlines.
Expert file management skills with experience working in Dropbox or a similar cloud-storage solution.
Understand client deliverables and take ownership of their execution, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Experience in revising and refining work through multiple drafts to meet project requirements and deadlines.

Required

BA in fine arts, marketing, graphic arts, or related field or equivalent hands-on experience.
3-5 years combined professional experience in design, creative services or art direction.
Proficient experience in Adobe Creative Suite.
Experience in Microsoft Office (Word and PowerPoint) including Teams and SharePoint.
Strong knowledge of design principles and typography.

Preferred

Experience creating templates and designs in the Canva platform.
Experience in motion graphics and animation using Adobe After Effects or similar software.
Experience or willingness to learn video production and editing (Adobe Premiere).
Strong conceptual skills and willingness to lead, participate, and brainstorm in meetings.
Strong verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills; with an ability to work cross-functionally and represent the Brand & Marketing team well.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team, apply critical thinking, and maintain exceptional attention to detail.
