Responsibilities

Define the product vision and roadmap for the DER orchestration platform, aligned with market needs and technological advancements.
Conduct market research to understand customer needs, identify emerging trends, and define the competitive landscape for DER orchestration solutions.
Develop and manage product requirements, ensuring the platform meets the needs of utilities, DER aggregators, and other key stakeholders.
Work closely with engineering, marketing, and sales teams to bring the product to market and drive successful adoption.
Develop and present compelling product messaging and user stories.
Track product performance metrics and analyze user data to identify areas for improvement and inform future product iterations.
Stay up to date on the latest advancements in DER technology, regulations, and market trends.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, business, or a related field, with a strong focus on the energy sector
Minimum 7+ years of experience in product management, preferably within the Grid Edge DER ecosystem
Demonstrated success in launching and managing software products specifically designed for DER integration, optimization, and management.
In-depth understanding of both in-front-of-meter (utility-scale) and behind-the-meter (customer-sited) DER solutions, including: Solar PV, wind turbines, combined heat and power (CHP), Battery storage, electric vehicles (EVs), demand response (DR) programs
Expert knowledge of Virtual Power Plants (VPPs) and their role in grid management and market participation.
Comprehensive understanding of grid services offered by DERs, including: Peak shaving, frequency regulation, voltage regulation, power quality improvement etc.
Solid grasp of market integration for DERs, including participation in energy markets and energy arbitrage opportunities.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation abilities.
Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams effectively.
Data-driven and analytical with a strong focus on user experience (UX).

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
