Responsibilities

Lead Growth Strategy: Drive the company’s strategic growth initiatives, including user acquisition, retention, and brand building, ensuring that each initiative aligns with the needs and behaviors of our target audience within a marketplace context.
Iterate on Product Strategy: Lead the refinement of our product offering by analyzing user feedback, running experiments, and making strategic decisions that shape the product’s direction and improve user experience in the marketplace.
Data-Driven Growth: Use data analytics to measure the performance of acquisition funnels, user engagement strategies, and retention efforts. Implement A/B testing and continuous iteration based on insights to optimize growth.
Marketplace Dynamics: Leverage your experience with marketplace startups to design strategies that drive user acquisition and retention within a two-sided marketplace. Ensure platform balance (e.g., attracting both artists and listeners) and optimize engagement across both sides.
Customer Insights & Research: Conduct in-depth research to understand customer behavior, pain points, and motivations. Use these insights to inform product development and shape user-centric growth strategies.
Referral and Organic Growth: Drive user acquisition and growth through organic channels like social media, content marketing, and referral programs. Implement strategies that encourage viral growth and increase customer engagement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, and leadership teams to ensure that growth initiatives align with product development and that new features are based on user feedback and market demand.
Retention & Engagement: Develop strategies to increase customer lifetime value (CLTV), focusing on user engagement, upselling, and building long-term brand loyalty through innovative features and services.
Performance Reporting & Insights: Monitor and report on key growth metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement in our strategies.

Required

Strong experience in marketplace startups, especially in building and scaling two-sided platforms.
Proven ability to design and implement growth strategies that engage both sides of the marketplace (e.g., consumers and suppliers).
3-5 years of experience in growth, marketing, or product management, ideally in a high-growth marketplace or B2C tech company.
Proven track record of driving user acquisition and retention strategies through data-driven decisions and experimentation.
Strong skills in data analysis, using tools like Google Analytics, Clevertap, and Appsflyer.
Ability to turn complex data into clear insights that drive decision-making.
Experience conducting user research, analyzing customer behavior, and creating strategies based on user needs.
Experience developing and executing referral marketing programs, leveraging organic growth channels, and fostering viral growth.
Strong leadership skills and experience working cross-functionally with teams to align on strategies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for pitching ideas, reporting on performance, and collaborating across functions.
Self-driven and adaptable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
Comfortable solving complex problems with minimal guidance.

Preferred

Previous experience in the music industry or working with artists is a plus.
