Responsibilities
Collaborate with coding leadership and various departments to ensure accurate coding practices
Conduct coding research and create documented recommendations based on findings
Develop and maintain coding guidelines using standardized documents and coding information
Monitor coding-related updates from various sources and communicate necessary changes
Serve as a resource for coding team members and maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements

Required
Associate's Degree in Health Information Management or a related field
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a hospital environment with professional coding
Certification such as CCS, CCA, CCS-P, RHIA, RHIT, CPC, or SCP from recognized organizations
Comprehensive knowledge of coding guidelines and third-party reimbursement programs
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to work independently
Preferred
Experience in physician revenue cycle processes and health information workflows
Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
Proven ability to present information effectively to various stakeholders
Experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment
