Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Sales Team to present, demonstrate, and validate Postalloy hardfacing alloys.
Serve as the primary technical advisor, addressing customer inquiries and solving technical issues across the sales cycle.
Provide application-specific training to customers, ensuring they are confident in using Postalloy products effectively.
Travel to customer sites to provide on-the-ground support, including training and troubleshooting.
Maintain expert-level knowledge of Postalloy hardfacing alloys and related welding processes, including SAW, FCAW, and SMAW.
Identify customer requirements and offer tailored hardfacing solutions that meet their needs.
Support the development of new products, processes, and application strategies for hardfacing technologies.
Track and manage project progress, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products and services.
Document customer interactions, opportunities, and technical solutions in company-approved databases.
Create case studies and application reports for internal use and publication.
Actively contribute to the development and introduction of new hardfacing products.
Identify market needs and collaborate with internal teams to develop strategies for product improvements.

Required

At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in welding, hardfacing, or related manufacturing processes, with a focus on SAW (Submerged Arc Welding), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), or similar welding techniques.
Proven experience in working with hardfacing alloys and wear-resistant materials in industrial applications (e.g., mining, manufacturing, construction, or heavy equipment industries).
Experience in field troubleshooting, customer support, and technical problem-solving in a welding or materials science environment is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of welding metallurgy, material properties, and wear mechanisms related to hardfacing applications.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong customer service orientation, with a focus on building long-term relationships.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Proficiency with standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite) and experience with CRM software for managing customer accounts and tracking sales activities.
Must be willing to travel to customer sites both domestically and internationally. (typically 50-75% of the time)

Preferred

A Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience in a sales engineer, applications engineer, or technical sales support role would be beneficial.
