Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned with GFiber's business goals and risk appetite, with a focus on leveraging AI and automation.

Lead and manage a team of security professionals across various security disciplines (e.g., security operations, security engineering, GRC), providing technical guidance and mentorship.

Oversee and actively participate in the execution of security projects, particularly those involving AI and machine learning in security.

Oversee security incident response, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and security awareness programs.

Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, engineering teams, and legal/compliance functions.

Stay abreast of emerging threats and security best practices, recommending and implementing innovative security solutions.

Manage the cybersecurity budget and resources effectively.

Communicate security risks and performance metrics to senior leadership and the board.

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

10 years of experience in cybersecurity leadership roles, with experience in building and managing high-performing teams.

Experience with developing and implementing effective cybersecurity strategies.

Experience with security architecture, operations, engineering, and GRC.

Preferred

Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Business Administration (MBA), or a related field.

Experience with cloud security, particularly in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Experience working with AI-driven security architecture and implementation.

Experience with mergers and acquisitions, including security due diligence and integration.

Recognized industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCISO.

Prior work experience in the telecommunications industry.

Experience presenting to and influencing senior leadership and board members.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
