Responsibilities

Lead design initiatives using design disciplines such as design thinking, service design, LeanUX, user experience design, and interface design.

Balance deep immersion in design disciplines with strategic alignment around business, product, platform, and customer needs.

Conduct research and translate insights into tangible, holistic, and human-centered frameworks like customer journeys and ecosystem maps.

Facilitate co-design activities and anchor the design process in user needs, business value, and feasibility.

Manage stakeholders, identify pain points, opportunities, and future paths for the business and customers.

Promote design practices within the business, inspire team members on the power of design, and lead the Design Guild.

Develop the craft within Safeguard Global with dual reporting to the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Product Officer.

Required

10 years of relevant experience in design leadership.

Experience in leading design initiatives from end-to-end in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes.

Strong history of adapting to change and thriving in highly ambiguous situations.

Ability to balance process, technology, and creativity to meet complex problems.

Excellent communicator at all levels, appreciating the needs of high-performing cross-functional agile teams.

Preferred

Strong background in platform-led growth companies with a demonstrated ability to guide the application and value of design systems to designers, engineers, and product managers.

Proficient in advanced and emerging technologies, well-versed in design patterns and trends.

Proven capacity as a pioneer, tackling significant challenges through experimentation, practical empathy, and data-driven analysis.

Expertise in strategic thinking, leadership, innovation, creativity, resourcefulness, platform expertise, analytics, design patterns, experimentation, team building, and design systems.
